What doctors, lawyers, and accountants are actually doing with AI. Not what the tech bubble thinks they're doing.

A doctor I know uses AI for one thing: copy-paste.
He transcribes consultations with ChatGPT, copies the output, pastes it into a form, copies that, pastes it somewhere else. That's the whole stack.
Most accountants I've spoken to have never opened ChatGPT. CAs, ACCAs, the lot. The one who has uses it for complicated Excel formulas. Personal stuff only. Never for client work.
“I tell it what I want to do, it gives me a formula, work gets easier.”
He also figured out how to convert Excel into Tally via XML. Mostly by accident.
Or the trader I know who uses Gemini to find valuable stocks. Same flow every day. He points it at a couple of websites, then has a long back-and-forth until the analysis is done. Dozens of stocks. Every morning.
That's the adoption.
Doctors, lawyers, auditors, accountants. Most of them don't use AI at all. Some do, in oddly specific ways they stumbled into.
Meanwhile the tech bubble is screaming about agents and AGI.
This newsletter is about that gap. What people are actually using outside the bubble. What they're missing. Why so much of the real economy hasn't moved an inch.
